Bayer was ordered by a jury in the U.S. state of Georgia to pay about $2.1 billion to a plaintiff who claimed the company's Roundup weed killer caused his cancer, the plaintiff's law firms said late on Friday.
An interesting detail is that John Barnes, the plaintiff, developed Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma after using the herbicide on his residential property, rather than in a commercial or agricultural setting.
This is a perfect time to remind our readers that generating qualified Roundup cases, with medical record verification included, is one of our specialties. All of our Roundup cases come with the verified diagnosis of Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, and the exposure carefully documented with in-depth interviews like an attorney would do.
